CREATING EXPERIMENTS IN AUTHORWARE: AN INTERACTIVE TRAINING MANUAL, v1.0
These training materials have been developed in conjunction with the
The manual adopts a See-it, do-it approach to learning. It begins with a complete choice-reaction time (CRT) experiment programmed in Authorware. After learners have seen the experiment, they can watch movies (from within the Manual or externally using their Media Player) that show how it was made. The movies are supported with text and screen shots that provide step-by-step explanations for the programming steps illustrated in the movies.
Following chapters that deal with replicating the CRT experiment are chapters that extend coverage to functions and procedures not illustrated by the CRT experiment. Each chapter ends with Make-Me challenges. There are 46 in all. Each is a small program that users are challenged to create using what they have learned from the text presentations. Users can run the MakeMes, see Hints on how to recreate them, and see actual solutions all from within the Manual. Authorware files are provided that give starting points for each MakeMe as well as the solution.
Orders for a CD copy of the Training Manual can be placed through PayPal. We are pricing the Manual at what we hope is an affordable $35 plus $2.50 shipping/handling with all proceeds going to support PsychExperiments as a free resource for instruction in psychology. Full refund is available for 30 days if you do not think the manual will be valuable to you.
