7. When you have the data you want, click the
button.
8. A window will appear that reports the number of
datasets you have selected. The number
may be slightly larger than the actual number of datasets you will receive
because the count is executed on a table that includes entries for people who
completed experiments but did not send their data. Click the
button.
If the dataset is too small, go back and add more datasets.
9. Clicking the Save DataSet as TextFile button creates
a comma delimited file with the raw data that you can download. To download the data, RIGHT click on
the link
This will open a dialog box in Internet
Explorer with the option “Save Data As.”
In Netscape the option will be “Save Link As.” Choose the option appropriate to your browser and save the
datafile to your desktop.

10. These two icons will appear on your desktop. Click
the one on the left to launch the macro that will analyze the data in the file
represented by the icon on the right.

Do not click on the Raw Data
file. This will open up the Raw Data,
but in non-interpretable form.

11. You will be asked if you wish to enable the
macros. Answer Yes. This will launch the macro.

12. When the macro begins, it places a custom entry on
the Excel menu bar. The entry is “Get PsychExperiments
DATA.” Click this option.
13. The next screen is a “Welcome” screen. From this
point follow the instructions to get your data.
14. Clicking “Continue” produces this screen where you
can browse to the data file. The data
subsets will show in the Data Subsets window.
You can select the data sets you want.

15. To open all the data, click OK. This will produce an Excel workbook with one worksheet per research participant and a summary page. The summary page will be the active window when the macro ends.
