Mental Rotation

This experiment presents 16 different pairs of three dimensional objects. Users judge whether the objects are the same or different. Judging whether they are the same or different is made difficult by the fact that the paired objects are not in the same orientation. The left object is always in an upright position but the paired object on the right is rotated in 45 degree steps from 45 degrees to 315 degrees. Users can conduct from 16 to 64 trials. The order of stimulus presentations within blocks of 16 trials is random. Gender and age are additional design variables that can be used depending on the research participants available for the study.
