Word Recognition Study

This experiment presents 16 five-letter words using divided visual field methodology. The dependent variable is word recognition time, which is determined by the exposure duration for the word on the trial in which it is correctly identified. The independent variable is the position of the word (right or left) relative to a fixation point. Gender and handedness are additional design variables that can be used depending on the research participants available for the study.
