Siu Chow is professor of psychology at the University of Regina (Saskatchewan, Canada). He received his B. A. (Honours) from the University of Adelaide, South Australia, and his Ph. D. (Psychology) from the University of Toronto. His empirical interest is in the interface between perception and memory. His interest in is the rationale of experimentation leads him to find debatable the contemporary criticisms of tests of significance. He also has reservations about statistical power or the importance of effect size.
